Day 1: San Juan, Puerto Rico (2-21-10)
To celebrate my birthday, Cam's birthday, our upcoming 16th anniversary, Valentine's Day, President's Day and every day in between, Cameron booked a 7 day cruise for just the two of us. It was the most amazing, delicious, exotic, pampered, relaxing, incredible (you get the picture) holiday ever!
Prior to boarding the Carnival Victory, we called the kids on the San Juan port to wish them a great week. Little did we know that we would have absolutely no communication with them for the next 7 days. It was great! The kids loved it too.
Highlight: spending 24/7 with your best friend.

This is what humid air does to my hair - the wind played a part too.
14 decks
The Lido deck 9 - the happening place - the food buffet is tucked under the big screen TV.
Our cabin was on deck 2. We had a window overlooking the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful at night with the moon streaming through the window. We unpacked and explored every nook and cranny on the ship. We even found the exercise room overlooking the ocean and vowed to use it. At the end of the week, our exercise clothes were still freshly folded in our suit cases. Our justification to exercise was taking the stairs from deck 2 to Lido deck 9 several times a day. It really did work.
Each night, our bed was remade (the steward cleaned and made beds twice a day) and turned down for us with a towel animal friend awaiting our return from dinner.
