Shark Girl #2

FINALLY!
It only took three months to be the next shark girl in the family.  You'd think it would of happened sooner for an identical twin.  Perhaps it did, it just took MOM that long to realize it (again I am awarded the most amazing mom award - tah dah!).  See how grown-in those shark teeth are - they have been in there forever!
Rebekah wiggled and jiggled her two bottom front teeth out in a jiffy and waited for the tooth fairy.  That busy tooth fairy didn't make it to our house the FIRST night!  Fortunately, I found a big note on the counter the next night that read, "Tooth Fairy - PLEASE Remember!"
The next morning I woke up to glee and giggles, oh good, she remembered.

Book Wreath

This craft I had to share on my family blog because I LOVE it!  It is a book wreath made from a dusty old dictionary I picked up at the DI.  It smells like the basement of an old library - mmmm.  Makayla and I could sit all day and just smell the book.

Lovely!

Check out what else I made at my other nutty blog...

6 Spring Break: St. George

Our last stop was a trip to St. George to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen, who just celebrated their 65th anniversary and are as healthy as a horse.  It was fun to hang out with them and swim in their community pool.

We conclude our mini Spring Break vacation with a mini church history tour in and around St. George.  We visited the St. George Temple, the home of Brigham Young and Jacob Hamblin's home.

Jay and Doris Christensen (Louise's parents)

Oh, the St. George Temple - beautiful!

Check out the hawk that was hanging out in the tree.

There is something about running kids captured in photos that I love.

I saw this picture and thought.... Wow!  Check out that bicep muscle.

Then I saw Jarin doing this.

I'm not so impressed anymore.

5 Spring Break: Temple of Sinawava

Our next hike took us up to the Temple of Sinawava.
I will let the pictures tell the story.....

Good bye Zion's!

Thanks for the memories!

4 Spring Break: Weeping Rock

While I was taking a picture of this.....

This little guy decided to land......

onto this little girl's back!!!

You can imagine my thoughts as I heard Makayla shout, "There's a BAT on Rebekah's back!"

Here they are in split second order without taking my eyes off her...
What?!
I should take a picture - nah!
Where is Cameron?
I need a stick to flick it off.
Should I use my camera?
Rebekah has no idea what is on her back.
I hope it doesn't bite me.

Without a second thought (serious), I swiped the thing off her back by flicking it with my hand.  The bat held steadfast until the second swipe sent it flying to the ground.  The poor thing was dazed as it flew off in the direction of the first picture.  What are the odds?

The view looking out from Weeping Rock.

Our friends - the Hubbards.

Still more interested in the sandstone.

On to the next hike.....
